ACS Coverage Map

Feathers Flight Deck is a Part 61 home-study ground school preparing you for the FAA Private Pilot Airplane (PAR) knowledge test — with your knowledge-test endorsement issued by your CFI after instructor review.

Measured against FAA-S-ACS-6C, the FAA's public Airman Certification Standards. The ACS is a testing standard, not a syllabus — this course teaches from the FAA handbooks, and uses the ACS the way it is meant to be used: to verify that nothing you can be tested on has been left uncovered. Every lesson and question is cross-referenced to the tasks below. The ACS is an FAA publication; this course is an independent study program and is not endorsed by the FAA.

21 modules157 lessons1588 approved questions1529 mapped to ACS tasks45 ASEL tasks below

1588 instructor-approved questions back this course; 1529 are mapped to specific ACS tasks below and feed the practice exam. The other 59 belong to Module 0's orientation lessons — onboarding content deliberately outside the ACS map.

Enrolled? Your personal readiness board tracks how you're doing against every one of these tasks.

Tasks showing zero questions are flight-maneuver skills — demonstrated in the airplane with your instructor, not tested by written questions here. The knowledge that feeds them (aerodynamics, performance, procedures) lives in the tasks above. The question bank continues to grow.

Scope: Private Pilot — Airplane Single-Engine Land (ASEL). Seaplane (ASES/AMES) and multiengine (AMEL) tasks — including all of Area X — are outside this course by design.
