Terms of Service — Feathers Flight Deck

Effective date: August 19, 2026

Who you're dealing with. Feathers Flight Deck is a product of Feathers Aviation, a Texas S-corporation ("Feathers Aviation," "we," "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Feathers Aviation.

The service. Feathers Flight Deck is a Part 61 home-study Private Pilot (ASEL) ground school: lessons, quizzes, module reviews, practice exams, a readiness board, AKTR remediation tools, and a knowledge-test endorsement workflow completed by your CFI. It includes your FAA knowledge-test endorsement, issued by your CFI after instructor review. It is an independent study program and is not endorsed by the FAA. No test outcome is guaranteed.

Course scope. Feathers Flight Deck is built on, and covers in full, the FAA's published Airman Certification Standards (ACS) for the Private Pilot Airplane (ASEL) knowledge test — see the ACS Coverage Map at /coverage for the Area-by-Area detail. This is Part 61 home-study: it is not endorsed by the FAA, and completing it is not a guarantee that you will pass the knowledge test, the oral, or the practical test. If your CFI or an FAA examiner asks about material outside the published ACS, that is outside this course's scope by design — the ACS, not this course, sets the boundary of what you may be asked.

Subscription. $50/month or $500/year, all-access. Module 0 (orientation) is free with any account. You can cancel anytime in the billing portal; access continues until the end of the period you paid for. All sales are final: no refunds, and no prorated refunds for unused time. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never touch this site.

Your data and records. Your progress, exam history, AKTR log, and related account data are retained while your account exists and for up to 3 years after account closure. Endorsement and instructor records (including the instructor's endorsement list) are retained permanently by design, per the instructor recordkeeping obligation of 14 CFR § 61.189. Lapsing or canceling never deletes your progress.

Accounts. One person per account; your account is personal and non-transferable. Sharing credentials, multi-user access, or redistributing course content is a violation of these terms and grounds for termination without refund.

Community questions and answers. Each lesson has a question-and-answer area where you can post questions and your instructor posts answers. It is a course feature, not a private message channel: a question you post is visible to other students who have access to that lesson, shown under a display name you choose (see the Privacy Policy). When you post, you agree to keep it relevant and respectful, and not to post anything unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, or infringing, not to share other people's personal information, and not to post quiz or practice-exam questions or answers — that protects the integrity of the test for every student. You are responsible for what you post. You keep ownership of your words and grant us a non-exclusive license to store and display them within the app to other students on that lesson, for as long as needed to operate the question-and- answer area. We and your instructor may hide or remove any post, and may suspend your access to the question-and-answer area, at our discretion. Your instructor's answers are general instruction; they are not a substitute for official FAA guidance or your individual training, and they do not change the endorsement process — the endorsement is issued by your CFI after review. Posts are removable on request (there is no self-service deletion), as described in the Privacy Policy.

Refunds and cancellation. Cancel anytime in the billing portal; access continues until the end of your paid period. No refunds; no prorated refunds. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Governing law and venue. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Texas.
